Mosaic Dance Theater Company wants to meet you! Mosaic Dance
Theater Company, based in Glen Ridge, NJ, is hosting a complimentary
Meet & Greet on Thursday, May 3, 2007 from 7:30 – 8:30 PM at the
Glen Ridge Senior-Community Center (Glen Ridge Train Station) at 228
Ridgewood Ave., Glen Ridge, NJ.
There will be a short video presentation,
refreshments, and Company members will be on hand to answer
questions. The Company is also looking for arts-minded individuals
who wish to get involved by volunteering, with opportunities
available from Backstage to the Boardroom.

World premiere story theater adaptation of two
stories from the Arabian Nights |

A
thousand years ago, during those fabled thousand and one nights, a
certain queen wove a fantastic tale about a poor fisherman who
uncorks a djinni in a bottle. Mosaic Dance Theater Company
presents its breathtaking story theater adaptation of The Fisherman
and the Djinni, along with The King of the Ebony Isles, both tales
from the Arabian nights. This world premiere production is filled
with spectacular Middle Eastern dance.

A dazzling array of dance, color,
music and theater makes up Mosaic. It delights the eye and fills the
senses with exotic sound, light and energy. Choreographed and
performed by Samara, the renowned dancer and choreographer, along
with nine Middle Eastern dancers and master Arabic percussionists,
Mosaic beats with a rhythm that lifts the audience to captivating,
far away lands.

Mosaic
Dance Theater Company presents a Master Class and Complete
Choreography in Middle Eastern Dance with Samara of New York.
Samara is a protégé of the late Ibrahim Farrah and was a featured
performer in his Near East Dance Group. The Workshop will include a
full warm-up and complete choreography for oriental dance. Register
by January 15, 2006 and receive a $5.00 discount off a ticket to the
Mosaic performance on January 29. |
